Our story

How it all started

Ever since I was a little girl I loved to bake and play in the kitchen. I remember visiting my grandparents house, and couldn’t wait to watch my Grandfather make his delicious pancakes, pies and other treats. His family had run their own bakery for many years and somewhere along the way I had a vision of following that family path. I attended Delphin’s Gourmandise Pastry School and was taught by Master French Pastry Chef Delphin Gomes. It was such an amazing experience and I fell in love even more with baking and creating these beautiful masterpieces.

After my graduation, while I also was working a full time job I dabbled in baking for friends and family with the hope of “someday” having my own shop. Life, work, marriage, and 3 children took up my focus and time. Until one day I thought well it is now or never. I searched for available businesses that were for sale and found my spot! What goes better with cake, cookies and pastries than ice cream! My lifelong dream is now a reality. I am so happy that I get to share this with my family, as they get to see firsthand to never give up on your dreams!

Sweet Bel’s is more than just ice cream. It is pure happiness! Taking a bite of a delicious cookie or pastry that is melded along with creamy ice cream into one special treat is one of a kind.

At Sweet Bel’s we have created a family space where kids can play in their own ice cream shop playhouse in the yard, be our lucky duck winner of the day where they can look for a hidden rubber duck to get a free kiddie ice cream or relax in our giant Adirondack chair. We aim to bring joy and deliciousness to every visit!
